Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what ITRE does, what it costs, how we handle security and privacy, and what happens if you decide to leave.

These answers summarise how ITRE works: what we do, what it costs, how we treat security and privacy, and what happens if you decide to leave. If your question is not here, call (604) 632-4959 or email [email protected] and a senior advisor will respond personally.

We keep the list short and honest. Where an answer depends on your circumstances, we say so, and we suggest the right professional to consult, whether that is your lawyer, your compliance officer or your insurer.

Questions and answers

What is ITRE?
ITRE, short for IT for Real Estate, is an IT services and consulting firm for brokerages, real estate teams, developers, property managers, strata corporations, REITs, mortgage brokers, appraisers, lawyers and PropTech companies. It is a sub-brand of SAZ.ca (Strategy, AI & Acceleration consulting) and Sedighi.ca. We combine senior-partner strategy with hands-on delivery, and we are not a reseller.
Who leads ITRE?
ITRE is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA, a Vancouver-based marketing and technology strategist and CTO with more than seventeen years of experience since 2007. He leads SAZ.ca and Sedighi.ca, and personally reviews the guidance published on this site.
Where do you work?
We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and serve organisations across every province and territory in Canada. British Columbia is our primary focus. Most work is delivered remotely, and we coordinate on-site installation through trusted local trades.
What does managed IT cost?
Managed IT starts at $89 to $199 per user per month depending on scope. Projects start at $2,500, vCIO and advisory retainers from $1,500 per month, and security assessments from $1,900. Prices are in Canadian dollars, 5% GST is added, and new clients receive a 10% launch discount.
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. After onboarding, engagements run month to month. You own your domains, accounts, licences and data from the first day, and we provide documentation if you choose to leave.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. The first thirty-minute consultation is free. Call (604) 632-4959 or email [email protected]. We will give you a candid view of priorities and a rough budget before you commit to anything.
Can you help with wire fraud and email compromise?
Yes. Our Wire-Fraud and BEC Protection service combines mailbox hardening, domain protection, alerting and a written call-back procedure for any change in payment instructions. We also brief staff and agents using realistic closing-day scenarios.
Do you help with FINTRAC and privacy compliance?
We build the technical controls and evidence that support FINTRAC record keeping, PIPEDA and BC PIPA, working alongside your lawyer and compliance officer. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
Which systems do you support?
We support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure and AWS, along with Follow Up Boss, kvCORE, Salesforce, HubSpot, Yardi, Buildium, AppFolio, Condo Control, Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti and Fortinet. We are vendor-neutral and work with what you already have.
Can you support agents who use their own devices?
Yes. We use mobile device and app management to separate brokerage data from personal content, enforce encryption and updates, and remove brokerage data from a lost or departed agent's device without touching personal content.
Do you work with our current IT provider?
Yes. Many firms engage us as a co-managed partner or as an independent reviewer. We document findings in plain language and work cooperatively with your existing provider.
How do you protect our information?
We use multi-factor authentication, least-privilege access, encryption and audit logging, and we select vendors with SOC 2-aligned practices wherever the market allows. This website itself uses no cookies, no third-party trackers and no contact forms.
What is the difference between ITRE and a reseller?
A reseller earns margin from the products it sells. ITRE advises first and sells hardware and software only at cost where it is helpful. Our recommendations follow what suits your business.
How do I get started?
Call (604) 632-4959, email [email protected] or use the Book a consultation link. A senior advisor will speak with you, ask about your office, and tell you candidly what we would do first.
